A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth when she had gone to fetch water from a village hand pump in Muzaffarnagar on Monday. The victim’s brother lodged the complaint and police have registered a case against the accused.
According to news agency PTI, Station House Officer, Bhopa, VP Singh said, that the youth was booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
According to the complainant, the accused abducted her and raped her in a room near the hand pump and made a video of the incident and has been absconding after. The police have launched a search operation in order to arrest the accused.
