Amitasha, a school catering to underprivileged girls, orchestrated its 24th Annual Day Function, “Sapno Ki Udaan,” at Amity University. The event featured vibrant cultural programs and dance dramas portraying the inspiring tales of eminent Indian women. These performances captivated the audience, leaving them spellbound.
Established in 2000 under the Amity Education Group, Amitasha has grown from nurturing 35 students to supporting 1000 girls from disadvantaged backgrounds across Delhi NCR. Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson of Amity Group of Schools & President of Amitasha Foundation for Upliftment of Underprivileged Children, emphasized Amity’s commitment to education and societal upliftment. She expressed her vision for Amitasha, aiming to empower underprivileged girls to realize their dreams and contribute meaningfully to society.
Dr. Lalit Bhasin, Managing Director of Bhasin & Co., lauded Amitasha’s initiative, advocating for equal opportunities in education. He celebrated women’s remarkable ability to balance professional and personal responsibilities, asserting their capability and talent across various fields.
Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President of Amity Education Group, highlighted the institution’s dedication to nation-building and humanitarian service. He commended the achievements of Amitasha’s young girls, pledging unwavering support for their endeavors.
Her Excellency, Majeta Vodeb Ghosh, Ambassador of Slovenia to India, encouraged the students, emphasizing the shared values of empowerment and the crucial role of family support in fulfilling aspirations.
During the event, Amitasha students received recognition for their exceptional accomplishments, with Diksha Gupta and Akanksha Kumari receiving the prestigious Dr. Asha Bhargav Memorial Award for Best All-Round Student. The gathering also included esteemed dignitaries such as Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Chancellor of Amity University Haryana, and various officials and trustees from the Amity Education Group, alongside the parents of Amitasha students.
