Lovely Professional University (LPU) has made a significant impact on the global academic stage, with 34 of its faculty members being recognized among the world’s top 2% scientists by Stanford University, a remarkable increase from last year’s 22. Two faculty members have achieved the second rank in India in the fields of AI and Image Processing, and Food Processing. This prestigious recognition highlights LPU’s commitment to cutting-edge research across 17 diverse fields, including Materials Science, Environmental Science, Pharmacology, and Energy.
LPU’s Founder Chancellor, Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, congratulated the faculty for their exceptional contributions and emphasized the institution’s focus on impactful research that contributes to global scientific advancements. The honored faculty members have excelled in a variety of fields such as AI, sustainable energy, telecommunications, chemistry, and more, reflecting the university’s broad research spectrum.
Stanford’s subject-specific bibliometric evaluation, conducted in collaboration with Elsevier BV, recognized scientists based on key performance indicators like H-index and citations, highlighting their influence on global research. This recognition further cements LPU’s reputation as a leader in fostering scientific innovation and advancing knowledge on a global scale.
