Digii, a leading SaaS provider for higher education in India, has released its first-of-its-kind survey, titled *‘AI-Driven Education: Maximizing AI’s Potential to Aid Educators and Enhance Educational Success’*. The survey, conducted among faculty members from higher education institutes in Bangalore, Delhi, and Hyderabad, aimed to gauge educators’ views on AI’s growing role in education. The findings showed that 93% of educators in these regions are enthusiastic about AI, believing it will greatly improve their teaching experience.
The survey gathered insights from over 500 educators across 22 prominent institutions, including Manipal Academy of Banking, Jain (Deemed-to-be University), Chanakya University, BITSoM, VIT Bangalore, and others. It explored AI’s transformative potential in education and assessed faculty readiness for AI tool training. Results revealed 41% of faculty are already using AI in teaching, with 70% of those leveraging it for content creation, 40.1% for assessments, 28.4% for attendance, 24.4% for evaluations, and 22.5% for feedback. Additionally, 37% have experimented with AI tools but are not using them actively, while 21.6% have yet to use AI in teaching.
“One of the most promising insights is the overwhelming enthusiasm among educators in Bangalore, Delhi, and Hyderabad to embrace AI. 97% are not only keen on improving learning outcomes with AI but are also willing to undergo training to integrate these tools into their teaching practices,” said Hemant Sahal, Founder & CEO, Digii.
To support this growing interest, Digii has introduced DigiiAI, a generative AI tool now in use at over 20 institutions across India. DigiiAI simplifies tasks like attendance tracking, class scheduling, documentation, assessment creation, and evaluation, offering educators a scalable, AI-powered solution to enhance their teaching experience.
