Reinforcing India’s vision of becoming a global hub for higher education, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) has welcomed more than 200 international students to its Ramapuram and Tiruchirappalli campuses for the 2025 academic session.

Students from Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Singapore, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia have chosen SRMIST for its quality education and global outlook. To mark their arrival, the university organised a special Heritage Visit, offering students a first-hand experience of India’s rich cultural traditions and fostering a sense of belonging from the outset.

The new international cohort has enrolled in a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Biotechnology.

SRMIST’s dedicated International Relations Office ensures seamless support for international students—from visa processing and accommodation to orientation and language assistance—ensuring a smooth transition into campus life.
