Arya Gurukul, under the aegis of the Education Today Foundation, hosted its much-awaited annual day at Aacharya Pralhad Keshav Aatre Rangamandir, Kalyan. This year’s theme brought alive Roald Dahl’s classic Matilda, celebrating imagination, intelligence and resilience through a blend of drama, dance, music and narration.
As part of the school-wide reading challenge, every student read Matilda, culminating in a vibrant showcase that saw 628 pupils perform on stage. From dramatic enactments of iconic scenes to captivating dances and soulful music, the performances highlighted creativity while reinforcing important life lessons.

On this occasion, the Education Today Foundation conferred Lifetime Achievement Awards on three public luminaries – Rohni Lokare, deputy engineer with KDMC; Suma Varughese, noted author; and Ramnath Tharwal, actor, writer and director – for their contributions to education and social change. Chairman Bharat Malik emphasised that true greatness lies in creating impact for society’s well-being.
The evening was graced by chief guest Shubhi Gupta, chartered accountant, and guest of honour Prof Dinesh Gupta, renowned life coach and motivational speaker, who shared an inspiring life mantra with the audience.

Dr Neelam Malik, director academic, praised the efforts of teachers and students, noting that such events nurture confidence, creativity and the school’s mission of holistic education. Principal Divya Borse also launched the Arya Gurukul Annual Report 2024-25 through a QR code.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks and resounding applause from parents and guests, marking a memorable evening of talent, teamwork and storytelling.
