Mody University of Science & Technology has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Vyomini Social Foundation, a social enterprise recognised by DIPP, MSME and GEM for its work in entrepreneurship and sanitation hygiene. The partnership aims to strengthen student engagement in community development while fostering academic learning with social responsibility.
Under Vyomini’s flagship Campus Connect programme, Mody University students will participate in village development projects, sanitation and hygiene campaigns, the Vocal for Local movement and youth empowerment initiatives. To launch the collaboration, the university and Vyomini organised an outreach programme under the Government of India’s Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, focusing on menstrual hygiene awareness, career counselling, nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices.
Prachi Kaushik, Founder & Director of Vyomini Social Foundation, said the association would help scale the impact of youth-led projects in Rajasthan:
“Through Campus Connect we have empowered thousands of young people in skill development, rural entrepreneurship, spiritual growth and sustainable sanitation. With Mody University’s support, we look forward to achieving new milestones.”
Ashutosh Bhardwaj, President of Mody University of Science & Technology, underlined the value of experiential learning:
“Engaging students in village development allows them to innovate solutions to rural challenges. Sanitation and hygiene awareness, in particular, must be understood from an early age.”
The collaboration seeks to provide students with hands-on exposure to real-world issues, nurture entrepreneurial thinking and inspire them to design sustainable solutions for rural India.
