Ryan International Academy, Sarjapur hosted an interaction session with Indian badminton player Lakshya Sen as part of the Yonex-Sunrise India Open 2026 promotions in Bengaluru. The programme was organised by the Badminton Association of India.
Lakshya Sen, a World Championships bronze medallist, Commonwealth Games gold medallist and a member of India’s Thomas Cup–winning team, interacted with students and shared experiences from his professional career. He spoke about training routines, match preparation, mental strength and the importance of balancing academics with sporting goals. The session also included on-court interactions and rallies with students and badminton enthusiasts.
The event saw participation from hundreds of students and players from Bengaluru. The Badminton Association of India selected Ryan International Academy, Sarjapur as the venue, citing its badminton facilities.
Vinod Sharma, COO, Ryan Edunation Pvt. Ltd., said the interaction aligned with the school’s focus on holistic education by encouraging students to pursue both academic and sporting interests.
The programme concluded with a question-and-answer session, where students sought guidance on sports careers, handling pressure and managing education alongside professional sport.
