Medhavi Skills University (MSU) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Sashastra Seema Bal Wives Welfare Association (SANDIKSHA) to provide fee concessions for the children of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel and skill-transition training for personnel taking early retirement.

The MoU was signed by Shri Kuldip Sarma, Co-Founder and Pro-Chancellor of MSU, and Smt. Kavita Singhal, President of SANDIKSHA, during a ceremony attended by representatives of both organisations.

Under the agreement, MSU will provide full tuition fee waivers for the children of SSB personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty. Fee concessions will also be available for the wards of serving and retired SSB personnel across the university’s work-integrated degree and diploma programmes.

The programmes are aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and combine academic learning with workplace training to enable students to earn recognised qualifications while gaining industry experience.

The partnership also includes structured skill development and career transition programmes for SSB personnel who have taken early retirement, with the aim of improving employability and access to higher education.

Speaking on the partnership, Shri Kuldip Sarma said the initiative recognises the contribution of SSB personnel and their families by extending education and skilling opportunities beyond active service.

Smt. Kavita Singhal said the collaboration would provide access to skills-based higher education for the children of SSB personnel while supporting career pathways for those who have served.

The agreement is part of MSU’s wider outreach with India’s defence and security forces. The university has previously signed similar MoUs with the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, Assam Rifles, CRPF, Sikkim Police and Nagaland Police.
