SriLankan Aviation College (SLAC), the training arm of SriLankan Airlines, has been recognised by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as an IATA Authorised Training Centre (ATC) Preferred Partner for 2026.

The recognition marks the second consecutive year that SLAC has received the award and places it among IATA’s 10 best-performing training centres globally.

The ATC Preferred Partner status is awarded to high-performing IATA training institutions based on indicators including the number of IATA programmes conducted and student enrolments.

SLAC became an IATA Accredited Training Centre in 2008 and was elevated to IATA Regional Training Partner status in 2014. It remains the only IATA Regional Training Partner in Sri Lanka.

The college offers IATA programmes including the Airline Cabin Crew Qualification, Foundation in Travel & Tourism Diploma, Cargo Introductory Qualification and Managing the Travel Business programme.

SLAC said the recognition will support its efforts to provide training aligned with the requirements of the global aviation and travel sectors.

With more than four decades of experience, the college is certified by IATA, the Civil Aviation Authorities of Sri Lanka, Pakistan and the Maldives, and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). It is also a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society and the European Aviation Maintenance Training Committee.

The college collaborates with training and academic institutions and offers aviation and corporate training programmes for students and working professionals.
