KLAY Preschools and Daycare has partnered with Cambridge International Education to introduce the Cambridge Early Years Programme at six authorised centres across three Indian cities.

Designed for children aged three to six, the play-based programme supports development in communication, language and literacy, mathematics, physical development, creative expression, personal and social skills, and understanding the world.

Children’s progress will be assessed through observation and evidence gathered during daily learning and play rather than formal examinations. KLAY will also use Check Together, a story-based digital assessment tool covering early literacy, numeracy and emotional development.

Parents will receive term-wise report cards, year-end portfolios and daily updates on learning, meals and naps through the Cuepilot application.

“The early years lay the foundation for how children learn, think and engage with the world,” KLAY CEO Abhishek Joshi said. “Cambridge Early Years enables us to offer children a holistic, play-based learning experience while preparing them for the next stage of their educational journey.”

Jemma Joakim, Head of Early Years and Primary Years at Cambridge, said the partnership combined KLAY’s experience in early childhood education with Cambridge’s curriculum, resources and assessment framework.

Cambridge Early Years is the first stage of the Cambridge Pathway, which covers learners from the ages of three to 19.
