– Geeta Varshneya, Education Director, Shri Ram Global School, Greater Noida (West)
We are delighted to share a moment of immense pride for The Shri Ram Global School, Greater Noida West, as our young innovators Ayush Bhardwaj (S/o Mr. Pramod Kumar and Mrs. Arti Mishra) and Aniket Jaiswal (S/o Mr. Arvind Kumar Jaiswal and Mrs. Asha Jaiswal) have achieved a remarkable global distinction by being selected as members of Team attoPION, one of only five winning teams from across the world in the prestigious CERN Beamline for Schools (BL4S) 2026 Competition.
The CERN Beamline for Schools competition provides school students with an extraordinary opportunity to engage with real-world particle physics, develop scientific ideas, and experience research at one of the world’s leading scientific institutions.
The scale of this year’s competition makes their achievement even more remarkable. BL4S 2026 received a record 712 team entries from 89 countries, involving more than 4,500 students worldwide. After a rigorous evaluation process by leading scientists from CERN, Switzerland; DESY, Germany; and the University of Bonn, Germany, Team attoPION emerged among the select five winning teams.
As part of this incredible opportunity, Ayush and Aniket traveled to CERN, Switzerland, in August 2026, where the team had the privilege of conducting their proposed experiment using a particle beam at one of the world’s most renowned particle physics research facilities.
This achievement is not merely a competition victory—it is a testament to the students’ curiosity, scientific thinking, teamwork, perseverance, and passion for exploring the frontiers of science. Their success reflects the spirit of inquiry and innovation that The Shri Ram Global School strives to nurture in every learner.

Their selection also marks a significant moment for India, as Ayush and Aniket join a select group of young researchers representing the country on an international scientific platform. Their journey from the classrooms of Shri Ram Global School, Greater Noida West, to CERN, Switzerland, is an inspiring example of how young minds can dream big and create an impact on a global stage.
To honour and celebrate this outstanding accomplishment, the Management of Shri Ram Global School has announced a cash award of ₹10,000 each for Ayush and Aniket in recognition of their exceptional achievement.
