Whistling Woods International’s (WWI) School of Creative Arts hosted Design Conclave 2026, a two-day event at its Filmcity campus in Mumbai, bringing together creative professionals, industry practitioners and aspiring designers.
Held under the theme “Everything, Everyday, Designed”, the conclave featured masterclasses, panel discussions, workshops, student showcases and interactive sessions covering Animation & Game Design, Fashion & Costume Design, and Visual Communication Design.
Speakers included filmmaker and animator Vaibhav Kumaresh, founder and creative director of Vaibhav Studios; Ranjit ‘Tony’ Singh, animation director and creative producer at Vaibhav Studios; Prateek Sethi, founder and creative director of Trip Creative Services; cinematographer Vishnu Tenkayala; and professionals from Dot9Games and Sazo. WWI alumni working across visual design, gaming, comics and costume design also participated.
Sessions covered fashion filmmaking, multidisciplinary design, game design, animation and visual storytelling, while workshops focused on areas including CLO 3D, VFX, gameplay design, tie-dye, 3D printing, character modelling and pixilation.
The WWI Student Showcase featured projects across the three design disciplines, including animation and games, fashion concepts and visual communication projects.
The conclave also included a fashion show, flea market and live DJ performance, providing opportunities for students, professionals and design enthusiasts to interact.
Meghna Ghai Puri of Whistling Woods International said the event gave students an opportunity to take ownership of the initiative, from conceptualising and organising the conclave to showcasing their work.
Design Conclave 2026 aimed to connect industry and academia while exposing students to creative processes, industry experiences and career opportunities in design.
