The Children’s Academy was founded as a small school in a two room rented premises with a handful of students by the Late Shri V.V. Bhat in 1970. It shifted to a fully constructed seven-storied building at Bachani Nagar, Malad East in 1991. Today, it has grown to three schools catering to 4500 students with 450 qualified and dedicated teachers. The other two branches are at Ashok Nagar and Thakur Complex.
Children’s Academy, Malad hosts well-stocked libraries and reading rooms, activity rooms and gymnasium with latest equipments. There is also an assembly hall for hosting school events.
The school is affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi.
Extracurricular: Children’s Academy encourages its students to participate in a variety of co-curricular and extracurricular activities for their holistic development. Co-curricular activities include Indian and Western dance, music, gymnastic, judo, martial arts, robotics class, storytelling, art and craft, recitation and acting. Sports activities include hockey, volleyball, karate, athletics and chess.
Admissions are made within the first month of the academic year. For admission to class I, the child should have completed 5 years of age. For admission to other classes leaving certificate from the other school is needed. During the time of admission, the admission fee along with month and term school fee needs to be paid.
Being a day school, it dose not provide accommodation facility.
