The Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering (DJSCE, etsb.1994), a co-educational autonomous college affiliated to the University of Mumbai, offers various graduate, postgraduate and doctoral level courses through its nine departments – Chemical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, General Science & Humanities, Electronics and telecommunication Engineering, Production Engineering, Information Technology and Computer Engineering. All the courses at DJSCE are approved by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra and the New Delhi-based All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
Named after the eminent industrialist Shri Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi, DJSCE is one of the 32 educational institutions run by the Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM), a Public Charitable Trust registered in 1934 under the Society’s Registration Act and Bombay Public Trust Act which started with a school in 1921 and today offers kindergarten to postgraduate education to 32,000 students.
The college has its own Placement cell that helps build industry-academic linkages to the benefit of students as well as helps them get placed in the best firms in the industry such as J.P. The Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering is located in Vile Parle (West) – the heart of Mumbai hosting state-of-the-art facilities. It’s built-up area of 22,862 sq. meters is Wi-Fi enabled and comprises 46 spacious classrooms, 92 well-equipped laboratories, air-conditioned seminar halls, three auditoriums, conference rooms, three computer rooms with new age computer facilities, modern gymnasiums and a well-stocked library. The college also has its own canteen.
Spread over an area of 7,500 sq. feet, the library at DJSCE features 29,815 books, 102 printed journals & magazines (National & International, access to seven online databases, a computerized system to ease management and internet connection.

Eligibility criteria for both Open Category as well as Gujarati Linguistic Minority Category, as declared in the brochure of Maharashtra Common Entrance Test are followed. Admission to all courses is based on merit as per rules and norms laid down by the Director Technical Education (DTE, www.dte.org.in), Maharashtra State.
