NIIT University (NU) is a not-for-profit University notified by the Government of Rajasthan in 2009. A premier institution, marked by higher learning and research, NU seeks to create original thinkers who will lead the knowledge society of the future. The University inherits more than three decades of rich expertise and global know-how of the NIIT Group. Nurtured by some of the foremost thought leaders and corporate-practitioners of the country; the multi-discipline university focuses on emerging areas of technology and management. It is located in a 100-acre campus at Neemrana, Rajasthan,105 km from IGI Airport, Delhi on NH-8. Nestled in the Aravali hills, the fully residential green campus offers an idyllic and intellectually vibrant environment for pursuing higher education and research. Campus

The  100-acre NIIT University campus is WiFi enabled and hosts a well stocked library, well equipped laboratories and state of the art technology enabled classrooms. The campus also houses a health centre with four beds and a special ward, ‘Reverse Osmosis’ purified clean drinking water, 24-hour security and surveillance, a State Bank of India ATM. Recreational facilities include yoga centre, music room, dance centre, craft centre and art centre. The sports infrastructure includes facilities for volleyball, basketball, cricket, football, athletics track, tennis, badminton, gymnasium, table tennis and golf. The fully residential NU campus is designed to have all facilities that are needed to lead an enriched life. They span from numerous outdoor and indoor sports facilities to 24 x 7 tuck shops and ATMs. The academic facilities include labs and libraries and a Wi-Fi campus providing access to the internet via PCs, laptops and mobile devices.

General Information

Admission

BTech Eligibility: Applicants must have scored more than 60 percent marks in class X from CBSE/ICSE or its equivalent in English, Mathematics, Science and Social studies and successful completion in class XII in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology and English. Students who have appeared or are appearing for JEE-Main/BITSAT/SAT or any State Engineering Entrance Examination or NIIT University Aptitude Test (NUAT) are eligible. Admission process: Application form can be downloaded from the university website or collected from the Admission Offices; duly filled form along with all the required documents (including marks sheet of class X and XII) can be submitted either online or couriered to the NU Central Admissions Office at NIIT House, 85, Sector 32, Institutional Area, Gurgaon, Haryana 122001 or emailing a scanned copy to  [email protected]. Selection process considers scores of applicants in JEE-Main/BITSAT/SAT or any State Engineering Entrance Examination or NIIT University Aptitude Test (NUAT). Eligible applicants undergo the PCI (Personal Counseling Interaction) either face-to-face or through video conferencing. PCI assessments include English communication skills – written and oral, interest and hobbies, degree of self-awareness, out-of-the-box thinking and reason for the choice of stream. All eligible applicants’ parents/guardian are invited for a mandatory interaction with the NU team which are either face-to-face or through done through video conferencing. The parent/guardian interaction is scheduled on the same day as the PCI or within 7 days of the PCI. After this a selected list of applicants is displayed on the notice board after which applicants can pay the fees and confirm admission followed by attending orientation programmes. Accommodation

The hostel provides well-furnished, single and twin sharing accommodation and earth-air cooled rooms, with laundry facility and free of charge house-keeping services for the room. The hostel offers 24-hour internet connection in the rooms with access to the university’s on-line library and learning systems. Each floor at the hostel accommodates 36 students and comprises two common-rooms equipped with an LCD TV, one case-study room equipped with whiteboard, internet connection and access to the university’s on-line library and learning systems, a pantry with a microwave oven, on each floor. The hostel hosts a separate floor reserved exclusively for post graduate girl students with access-controlled entrance and exit. The dining facility is shared with male students.
