Established in 1982,Delhi Public School or DPS, Noida, is a coeducational day-cum-residential school from nursery to class XII. The school is managed by the Delhi Public School Society and is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The school enrolls 4,500 students mentored by 230 teachers.
The DPS Noida management believes that “true education must be life sustaining and life empowering”. The mission of DPS Noida is to “have faith in a creative and competent actualization of a school culture that is broad in vision and embraces the multiplicity that characterizes its words”.
Spread over 15 acres, the campus comprises spacious classrooms, well-equipped labs, well-stocked libraries, audio visual room, multi-purpose hall, activity room, discovery room, language labs, math lab, canteen and a hostel providing accommodation to 150 students.
The sports infrastructure includes two swimming pools, horse riding paddock, synthetic basketball court, cricket pitch, 400-meter running track, football field, volleyball court, skating rink, lawn tennis courts and gymnasium.
The multi-purpose air-conditioned hall can seat 350 students. The discovery room houses a big pendulum to keep track of time, a giant periscope, telescope and an observation deck with linen testers, magnifying glass, bug boxes and microscopes. The science park hosts interactive play models to help students of all age groups understand scientific concepts.
The audiovisual room is equipped with a projector, state-of-art sound system, DVD player and computer. The open-air theatre provides ample space for staging plays, art/sketch/painting/singing competitions etc.
The libraries display books, journals, periodicals, newspapers and audiovisual media. The senior school library caters to classes X to XII and boasts 15,000 volumes. It has a spacious reading room and a separate reference section for students and faculty members. The middle school library caters to classes VI to VIII with a collection of 12,000 volumes. The Junior Library also known as Tiny Tots Library caters to students from nursery to class V and houses 10,000 books.
DPS Noida is affiliated with CBSE and offers its curriculum from nursery to class XII. In addition to English and Hindi, it also offers French, German and Sanskrit languages from class IV onwards.
In addition to the curriculum, compulsory subjects include general studies, work experience, physical and health education. Students are trained and mentored for prestigious competitive exams such as National Talent Search Test, National Math, Science and Cyber Olympiads and others. Talks, seminars and workshops are regularly conducted for students and teachers.
The academic curriculum is strongly supported by co-curricular activities. All students from class VI to X mandatorily need to opt for a performance-based work experience from a wide range of creative activities and achieve at least two credits to be promoted to the next class. All-Rounder Trophies are awarded to students excelling in both academic and co-curricular activities.
The school provides training and coaching in football, basketball, volleyball, cricket, badminton, lawn tennis, swimming, riding, skating, aerobics, taekwondo, yoga, athletics, table tennis and chess.

The school’s academic session commences in April while application forms for admissions to Nursery are available in September for the upcoming session. Leading local and national newspapers and the school website carry information regarding admission. Only online applications are accepted for Prep-class IX.
Age Criteria:
The child should not be less than three and not more than four years at the time of registration.
Only the shortlisted candidates along with their parents are called for registration and interaction. The prospectus is given along with the registration form. The registration fee is non-refundable.
Applications for admission in class Prep-IX are invited online from January onwards for the upcoming session. Only the shortlisted candidates are called for registration and entrance test in March. Based on the test results, the interaction and the number of vacancies in each class, parents are notified. Once the admission is confirmed, school fees and other documents are to be submitted.
DPS Noida has won several national sports tournaments including the C.B.S.E. Swimming Championship held at Kanpur in September, 2012 and the Inter DPS National Swimming Competition (Open) held at Bhalai in August 2012.
Mrs. Kamini Bhasin, principal, DPS Noida was selected for the ‘National Award to Teachers, 2010’ which was conferred on her on September 5, 2011, at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi by the President of India, Smt. Pratibha Patil. The award carried a certificate of merit, a cash award of Rs.25, 000/- and a silver medal.
The school provides separate hostels for girls and boys, with accommodation for 150 boarders from classes VIII to XII. Nutritious vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are served. The common room has a TV with DTH and a VCD player and boarders have access to the swimming pool, horse riding and other sports facilities supervised by competent and experienced wardens and medical staff.
