Father Agnel Multipurpose School, Mumbai,is a co-educational day school affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE). It is a part of the Father Agnel Ashram group of educational institutions spread across India. The school, established in 1982 is located in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, and offers education from nursery to class X (SSC). The School provides education both, in academic and technical streams in secondary school (class VIII to X). It is one of the few schools in Mumbai that prepare students for the SSC (technical) examination. In the newly approved pattern of technical and vocational training by the Directorate of Technical Training, Maharashtra, the technical SSC is equivalent to the first year of ITI (Industrial Institute Training).
The campus also hosts the Fr. AgneI Multipurpose Junior College which offers science-cum-vocational subjects (electronics and computer science) and biology and commerce in class XI and XII.
Fr. Agnel is sited on two buildings on two different plots — Sector 9A and Sector 10A, jointly measuring about four acres of land – in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. These buildings-cum-plots have been acquired from CIDCO at the approximate cost of Rs. one crore.
The school offers contemporary classrooms, science labs, vocational education and training workshops, and a well-equipped library with approximately 20,000 books and subscribes to several journals. The computer centre has 40 computers.
The school offers education from nursery to class X. The Fr. Agnel Junior College offers classes XI and XII. The school is affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) and enjoys an excellent reputation for providing vocational or technical education to students. Along with regular academic subjects, the school offers optional vocational courses in Sanskrit, carpentry, electrical maintenance and welding. It is one of the few schools in Mumbai that prepare students for the SSC (technical) examination.
According to a school spokesperson, the management takes pains in selecting staff of high calibre with the required qualifications and practical skills, effectively proved with long experience. “Special care is taken to select candidates who are committed, in words and deeds, to the cause of building a strong India, a well united India, and a great India. In order to achieve the above goal, preference is given to those who strongly believe in secularism and socialism, and are proud of our genuinely Indian values and culture,” says the spokesperson.
Extracurricular:
The school has a compulsory course in scouts and guides besides astronomy and nature clubs for students of classes VIII, XI and X. Students are encouraged to participate in sports and games such as football, basketball, hockey, swimming, shooting, table tennis and chess. Co-curricular activities like elocution, theatre and public speaking are also encouraged.

Application forms for admission are available in school office in October/November. Admission test is conducted for the candidates of class I onwards. There is no admission test for nursery and kindergarten children. The school gives special opportunities to poor and underprivileged children.
Fees: Tuition fees are highly subsidized at 450 per month.
