Promoted in 1949, Delhi Public School (DPS) Mathura Road is a co-educational day cum boarding school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, offering classes from nursery to class XII. Spread over 15 acres in the heart of Delhi, it is the first DPS school to have been established by the Delhi Public School society.

Students are given opportunity to shoulder responsibilities in different areas like sports and games, cultural, co curricular and academic programmes thereby resulting in a harmonious and all round development of the student’s personality.”
The school campus sprawls over 15 acres at the heart of the capital, near the Purana Quila and the Zoological gardens. It hosts five computer centres, a work-experience block, laboratories for science, maths, psychology, biology, chemistry and physics, three well stocked libraries, three swimming pools, squash courts, tennis courts, basketball courts, cricket grounds, football fields, facilities for indoor games, a cafeteria.
The school building also houses comprises workshops, audio-visual lecture rooms, a clinic, a book shop, and hostel and canteen facilities.
DPS Mathura Road is affiliated to CBSE and offers humanities, commerce and science streams at the senior secondary level. In addition to teaching Hindi and English, the school also offers French, Sanskrit, Japanese, Arabic, German, Urdu, Chinese and Italian as third language.
Extracurricular:
At DPS Mathura Road, games, sports, co curricular and extracurricular activities form an integral part of the curriculum. The school facilitates sports such as athletics, swimming, badminton, table tennis, basketball, tennis, cricket, tennis, volleyball, football, squash and hockey. The school also offers facilities for yoga and a well equipped gym with the latest fitness equipments. Trekking, mountaineering, camping, rock climbing etc. are also encouraged besides social work, art clubs and socially useful productive work (SUPW).

Fees:
The annual tuition fee is Rs. 53,400 for grades I to XII and Rs. 54,600 for the nursery and preparatory classes.

The school provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. The hostel is managed by the warden with the support students from the floor committee.
Parents seeking hostel accommodation for their wards are required to submit a written application to the principal and if the principal grants admission, parents need to deposit the hostel fee with the hotel accounts clerk. After obtaining the hostel fee receipt parents need to report to the hostel superintendent for the completion of hostel admission formalities.
