Delhi Public School (DPS), Indirapuram, Ghaziabad is a coeducational day school promoted in April 2003 under the aegis of DPS Society, New Delhi. The school is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi and offers education from nursery to class XII. It started with 500 students and 50 teachers and today boasts over 5670 students and over 250 teachers.
DPS Indirapuram aims to “provide students a comprehensive academic curriculum supported by a system of instruction that encourages the thought process and reasoning and encourage children to be logical, analytical, critical, creative, innovative and communicative”.
DPS, Indirapuram hosts over 180 aesthetically planned and well ventilated classrooms. The school campus features state of the art infrastructure including an English language lab equipped with linguaphones and audio visual aids to facilitate the development of good communication skills, math lab, social science lab, two separate computer labs for the junior and senior school, separate science labs for physics, chemistry and biology for senior school and a general science lab for junior school.
The school campus hosts two well stocked libraries with a collection of over 15,000 books, centers for art, music and dance, a mini amphitheatre to promote performing arts from the pre-primary section, two cafeterias, atrium, an auditorium with a seating capacity for over 2500 people, two healthcare clinics with qualified doctors and an ambulance facility for emergencies.
The sports infrastructure includes a gymnasium, lawn tennis court, basket ball court, cricket ground, badminton court, table tennis court, two swimming pools and facilities for all indoor games.
DPS Indirapuram is affiliated with CBSE and offers education from nursery to class XII.
The academic year is divided into semesters and examinations are held at the end of each semester. Stay back classes and remedial teaching classes are offered to students of classes IX to XII.
The syllabus for classes III-IX is spread between two semesters and some basic conceptual portions of English, Hindi and math are carried forward to the second semester examination. Weekly test are held in all subjects and evaluation is based on student’s academic performance during the year.
DPS Indirapuram has introduced a ‘Seven Foreign Language Formula’ wherein languages such as French, German, Japanese, Spanish, Russian, Chinese and Arabic are offered from class IV onwards. The school offers specialized language labs dedicated for each language to introduce students to the culture, art, heritage, sports, and food of the concerned countries.
The school also partakes in students and teachers exchange programs with various schools worldwide to foster international relationship.
Extracurricular: DPS Indirapuram promotes activity clubs for classes VI-IX to constructively engage the students in activities such as tree plantation, anti-cracker campaign, cleaning of water bodies, air and water monitoring, etc.
The school’s sports department provides special coaches for various sports and disciplines such as lawn tennis, table tennis, badminton, taekwondo, yoga, basketball, cricket, swimming, skating and athletics and children are encouraged to participate in various inter-schools and inter – DPS sports and cultural events. The school also offers a team of art, dance and music teachers to train children for various school functions, inter-school and inter-DPS competitions.
The school conducts educational trips and tours for all classes, besides organizing adventure camps.

The school admission form and prospectus are available at the school office as per the newspaper notification and parents must submit the duly filled registration form along with all the required documents at the accounts office at B-Block, along with Rs.2, 000/- in cash.
Parents seeking admission for senior classes are requested to collect copy of the syllabus for the entrance test from the same counter.
All the registered candidates are informed about the date of entrance test and interview at the time of registration. Time duration for the admission test for classes VI to IX is three hours and the candidates are tested in English, math and science. Both the parents must accompany the child for the interview.
List of selected candidates is put up on the school’s admission notice board in A-Block and at the School Gate No.1 (Guard Room) after 3 P.M on the scheduled date. Parents of selected candidates must contact the admission office between 8.30 am to 2.00 pm to complete admission formalities
The principal of DPS, Indirapuram, Meeta Rai was awarded the prestigious National Award for Teachers 2007 on September 5, 2008 by The Honorable President of India, Smt. Pratibha Patil at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
Meeta Rai was also awarded the prestigious Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award on November 19, 2007 for outstanding services, achievements and contribution in the field of education.
