La Martiniere College, Lucknow is a boys’ K-XII day school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. The school was founded in 1945 by Major General Claude Martin with 70 boys. Today, the college boasts an enrollment of over 2,200 students from nursery to class XII. Ever since its existence, the college has produced soldiers, sailors and airmen who have done the school and their country proud in the two World Wars and in the wars of independent India. It has also produced engineers, doctors, educationists, administrators and outstanding sportsmen, now spread over the globe.
La Martiniere College sprawls over a 200 acre campus. The main school building is a magnificent eighteenth century building, to which other imposing structures have been periodically added. The campus hosts large assembly hall, spacious classrooms and well equipped physics, chemistry and biology labs.
