Overview

Delhi Public School, Jaipur , is a co-educational day school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It is a franchisee school of the Delhi Public School Society (Estb. 1949) which runs 205 schools worldwide.

DPS, Jaipur was instituted by Ravi Jaipuria, the well-known industrialist and philanthropist and his wife Dhara Jaipuria who is also committed to the cause of quality education under the aegis of DPS Society.

Inaugurated on April 8, 2003, the school strives to provide quality education to the  students from class Pre-Nursery to XII.

The school aims at the ‘Holistic Development’ of each child by inculcating ‘Core Values’ at every stage through  the right blend of academics, activities, sports and community engagements.

The school has an environment for learning that embraces technology, innovation, and diversity-an environment that  encourages intellectual inquiry and curiosity as well as collaboration.

To celebrate success, the school upholds independent learning through exposure to diverse perspectives and opportunities. It aims to teach personal accountability and social responsibility by providing opportunities to constantly engage in arts,  sports, community service and leadership.

The institution also aims to inculcate values of gratitude, self-awareness and empathy, creating socially responsible global citizens who would respect others and their environment.

Campus

Located on Ajmer-Jaipur Highway, the school is located in the sprawling campus of over 14.50 acres (58680 sq. mtrs).

As one walks into the school gates, what catches the eye is the lush green playground with the splendid School  Stadium that can seat almost 600 spectators. Students get an opportunity for outdoor recreation and sports  and master them under the guidance of trained and talented coaches. The school gymnasium is well equipped  with the world class instruments and trained coaches guiding the students towards mental and physical fitness.

The Multi-Purpose Hall, as the very name suggests, serves many purposes. The Multi-Purpose Hall is indeed  the hub of school activities and a witness to various National level Sports and Cultural events. The most loved  place at DPS, Jaipur is the Tuck Inn, the school cafeteria. An infirmary under the supervision of a qualified  doctor takes care of all medical emergencies. It is well equipped with beds and all medical facilities. We truly  believe that the more we read, the more we know. Thus, the importance of a school library cannot be over  emphasized.

The school has a well-connected and door to door pick up and drop transport facility supported by Diligent &  Lucent Transport Private Limited. The fleet of buses is well equipped with CCTV and GPRS.A lady teaching /  non-teaching staff is deployed on every bus from the boarding to the last de-boarding point.

DPS Jaipur is powered by solar energy and is fully air-conditioned school building. The school also boasts of a  Sewage Treatment Plant.

The Boarding house is nestled in the serene greens, coupled with an unmatched infrastructure and world-class  amenities. Here, the child gets the best of both – a good school and a loving home which are quintessential for  his/her holistic development.

In this age of technology, smart classes have become an integral medium of imparting quality education. The  visual effect of the smart classes makes learning fun and helps students of all learning styles grasps concepts  better.

Updates

Extra curricular Activities:

A wide range of extracurricular activities are offered at DPSJ for ensuring the holistic development of the students.

There are 14 clubs for the students to engage in learning and hone their skills in the field of literature, debating,  performing and visual arts, science and technology, peer education, heritage, environment, photography and a lot  more.

Students are also given the opportunity to learn various instruments, songs and learn different dance forms and also to  express their artistic expression under the able guidance of trained and skilled mentors of the performing art  department of the school. Fine Arts studios have been established to hone the skills of the children and give them a  platform to showcase their talent in various art forms guided by the experts.

Besides cementing the values of discipline and patriotism, the NCC programme offered at DPSJ serves as a gateway to  the students for a future in the armed forces.

CSR Drive

The Student Council of DPS Jaipur started a donation drive for the students of the underprivileged section of society.

Students of grades 6-12 donated stationery, notebooks, sanitary napkins, slippers and socks to the children of the NGO  “Indian Women Impact” in the session 2021-22. This NGO works for the children of the underprivileged sections of  society and provides them with education.

The students of grades VI to VIII conducted the activity- ‘Bake Sale’. The amount collected from the activity was used  to purchase the sweaters for the underprivileged students of Shiksha Kendra.

In the current academic session 2022-23, our vice council of students donated various essential things to different  organisations working for the underprivileged section of the society:

Rays Boys Home ( Mansarover metro station)

Rays is a charitable trust that aims at helping HIV positive.

Aashray Girls’ Home (Nirman Nagar)

These Aashray care Homes are created to fulfil survival & development opportunities to the HIV infected and affected  orphan children, & HIV positive widow women who have been rejected by those close to them due to discrimination,  death of parents/ spouse or financial hardship due to their HIV status& poverty.

Surman Sanstha (Vaishali nagar )

Surman has been working towards providing shelter and other necessary amenities for destitute abandoned children  and women of the society for many years.

Naya sawera (Nirman nagar)

The aim of the organisation is to see that no human being is deprived of the basic needs because of poverty. The  organization also seeks to support and nurture the talents who cannot avail proper facilities due to their harsh  conditions.

DPS Shiksha Kendra

It was the vision of PVC Dhara Jaipuria and Ravi Jaipuria to make quality education accessible to the  underprivileged children of the society. The school was set up in the year 2006 and ran for the children of Pre-Nursery  to VIII and currently has 800 students enrolled with it. The concept of inclusive education is best implemented at DPS Jaipur with  Shiksha Kendra as its integral part.

Pravah

Pravah, the skill development centre at DPSJ was established in April 2015 with the objective of creating entrepreneurs  and making a real difference in the society by transforming the lives of not so privileged youth.
