Indraprastha International School, Dwarka, is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Founded in 2003, the school offers education from preschool through class XII and has a teacher student ratio of 1:15. The school’s vision is to raise a generation of model international citizens and training young girls and boys for the challenges of tomorrow.
The school campus is spread over 2 acres. The three storey school building houses 97 well furnished and air conditioned classrooms. Each classroom is equipped with a computer and color TV. There are well equipped labs for Ultra science, mathematics, computer science, social science, language and robotics.
The school hosts a well stocked library and a reading room with internet facility, individual staff rooms for the faculty on each floor, an infirmary with a doctor and a nurse, an amphitheatre and a state-of-the-art multi-purpose auditorium with projector screens, lighting equipments and acoustics. Indraprastha International School follows the CBSE curriculum and integrates the use of technology and knowledge from textbooks by NCERT (National Council of Education Research and Training). The school boasts smart class audio-visual modules; online smart class, CBIL (Concept Based Integrated Learning) which involves TIE (Theatre In Education) as well as AIE (Art In Education).
The three language formula of CBSE is introduced in class V. The third languages offered are Sanskrit/French/Hindi/German and the choice of third language continues till class XII.
At the primary level, theory of multiple intelligences is used as an inventory. The CBIL integrates all the skills such as artistic, dramatic, linguistic, and logical. At middle and secondary level, science and other subjects are made interesting by introducing teaching aids which upgrade the skills and learning of the students through interactive computer Smart Classes. Registration forms are usually available at the school fee counter from early to mid January between 8.30 am and 1.00 pm on payment of Rs.25 only. The age eligibility for admission to preschool is 3+ years.
