Darbari Lal DAV (DLDAV) Model School, located at Pitampura in New Delhi, is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Established in 1981, DLDAV Model School, Pitampura, is a part of the evolutionary DAV Movement and is managed by the DAV College Managing Committee.
The school foundation stone was laid in the presence Late Shri Ved Vyasja, chairman, DAVCMC, Late Shri Darbari Lal, the founder manager of the school, and S L Makhija, the founder principal. The school started in a rented building with 500 students and 15 teachers; today it boasts its own 4 acre campus with 250 faculty members and 5000 students. The school is a member of the National Progressive Schools Conference and is an ISO 9001 2000 certified organization.
The school campus sprawls over 4 acres hosting an administrative block, a conference room, spacious, well equipped air conditioned auditorium, an AV room, lecture room and resource room with internet facility, smart classrooms, and separate senior and junior libraries.
The school houses two labs each for physics, chemistry and biology, a junior science lab, four computer labs, a home science lab, math lab, geography lab, two multimedia labs, robotics lab and an electronics labs.
There is also a commercial and fine arts room, textile designing room, dance room, music room, counselor’s room, medical infirmary and a canteen. The school also houses a nursery with variety of plants.
The school playground measures 1.98 acres and the sports infrastructure includes a gymnasium and facilities for yoga, karate, table tennis, badminton, athletics and tennis.
Affiliated with CBSE, the school follows the CCE system and regularly holds seminars and workshops.
Extracurricular: Students can choose from clubs assigned to different classes; life skill classes are also imparted. For classes II and III the extracurricular subjects include art and craft, music, dance, wealth from waste, needle work and aerobics. Classes IV and VI have lawn tennis, robotics, German language, math club, personality development, art and craft, instrumental music, calligraphy, vocal music, literary club, kathak, Hindi dramatics, creative dance, English dramatics, fabric painting, clay modeling and block printing.
In classes VIII-X, students can opt for German club, robotics, electronics, lawn tennis, cook and serve, folk dance, group dance, English literary club, textile designing, fine art, commercial art, traditional art, computer club, fashion designing, waste management, sports club, eco club and Hindi literary club.

SportsAdmissions for nursery take place between January 1 to 15 every year. Registration forms can be downloaded and submitted on the school website till 4 pm on January 15.
The age criteria for nursery is 3 plus as on April 1 of the academic year. A printed copy of the online submitted form, along with a DD of Rs. 350/-(non refundable) drawn in favor of Darbari Lal DAV Model School, Pitampura, (Rs. 25/-as Registration Charges and Rs. 325/- for Processing Charges of Registration and other formalities) together with an attested copy of the Date of Birth certificate of the child issued by MCD should be dropped in the box installed in the security room at the school entrance gate.
List of selected candidates will be displayed on the school website in January last week and the second waiting list (if any) by February first week.
