AACSB International lends its support for NHRD- IFIM Business School Survey

According to official sources on August 27, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, AACSB International has extended its support for the survey being conducted by NHRD and IFIM Business School. The objective of the survey is the development of an ideal management curriculum for Industrial Revolution 4.0. The curriculum developed after the survey and a series of panel discussions will be presented to the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

Recently, the World Economic Forum released a report on the top 10 skills that are required in the age of automation at the workplace. The ten identified skills are complex problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, people management, coordinating with others, emotional intelligence, judgment and decision making, service orientation, negotiation and cognitive flexibility. The survey revolves around the relevance of these skills in the Indian context, the progress by industries with reference to these skills and steps to implement them in areas lacking them.

Sharing his views on the survey, Dan LeClaire, executive vice president and chief strategy and innovation officer, AACSB International said, “Management education needs to keep up with the fast changing demands of the industry. The industrial revolution 4.0 is the time for great leaders. Mission of AACSB International is to foster engagement, accelerate innovation, and amplify impact in business education. This survey will help in identifying the areas where Indian institutes can improve to meet the global standards in creating global leaders.”

The results of the quantitative survey will be announced by the second week of September.
