Aasaanjobs’ Hunarr to offer job seekers a skills boost

March 16, 2016

The in-depth understanding of the recruitment space has prompted Mumbai based Aasaanjobs, a recruitment portal for entry level jobs, to add more value to the current skill sets of potential employees so that they are readily employable. Hunarr, a marketplace that connects training providers to training seekers, is aimed at addressing the prevailing skill gap between what is available and what the job seekers are looking at. The mission of the portal is to recommend training avenues that help entry level workers find fulfilling jobs and companies to hire proficient employees. The platform was founded in October 2015 and is based out of Mumbai.
Talking about the objective of launching Hunarr, Dinesh Goel, co-founder & CEO of Aasaanjobs said, “We aim to raise the standard of skilling and training in the recruitment sector. The idea is to achieve it through a scalable tech product where course information offered by training institutes will enlist the skills taught, the level of proficiency and other pertinent details. The partner institutes have a ‘microsite’ option which is like owning a real estate in the internet space. Candidates who have difficulty being hired based on their skill gap or preferred job role will also be recommended courses to up their chances at being gainfully employed.”

Hunarr offers an extensive list of courses to hone fresh talent in basic computers, accounting, soft skills, IT, vocational training and the like. It has even tied up with ITIs, VTIs and institutes affiliated to government bodies like NSDC and MKCL all across Mumbai. Soon, these institutes will also be able to avail marketing solutions on the platform, achieving greater reach and visibility. “A lot of organic registration of training partners has caught on thanks to the high traffic on the Hunarr website,” added Goel.

The Hunarr team is 15-member strong and works actively on fine-tuning course recommendations that are closely linked to the opportunities in the recruitment space. With a funding of US$ 5 million received from Aspada, IDG ventures and Inventus, it aims to establish itself as a one-stop solution for career enhancement by finding the right training institutes and courses. After considering feedback from the seekers and employers on candidates who have opted for these courses, Hunarr will aim to suggest training courses that best fit the job seeker’s profile. Smart algorithms will effectively fill the need gap and send candidates back into the recruitment industry by adding to their hard and soft skills.

An end-to-end recruitment service in the entry level recruitment and staffing space, Aasaanjobs bridges the gap between employers and job seekers through a two-way matchmaking system on their web portal as well as mobile app. For more details, visit www.aasaanjobs.com.
