The championship encouraged the students to demonstrate their mathematical abilities and their creativity. The event took place on January 14-15, 2023 at Atlas Skilltech University, Mumbai. The winners of the category ‘Infinity Champions of the Year’ are Aditya Birla World Academy and Oberio International School for the category of Senior and Advanced Team respectively. Congratulating the winners and participants at the grand finale, Mrs. Radhika Sinha, Principal, Aditya Birla World Academy, said, The overwhelming nature of mathematics for most students is a well-known reality. Our main goal with Infinity 2023 – The Ultimate Math Championship was to encourage students that maths can be exciting and fun, through a few creative competitions, such as Bulb Your Ideas and Pass the Baton. This event was special because it brings together students from all around the nation and the world on one stage to celebrate their passion for mathematics.”

Dr Sudhirkumar Barai, Director, BITS Pilani, said “The ninth edition of Infinity has opened up the minds of participants to explore the infinite possibilities of Maths applications and the key take away has been fearlessly dreaming about applying maths to real-life problems of social importance.”

Dr Surya Banerjee, Professor, University of Waterloo, Faculty of Mathematics said, “It was delightful to see so many bright young enthusiastic faces participating in the contest. I’m glad that this group of young Indian girls and boys are carrying on the great mathematical traditions of our country. As an Indian, I couldn’t feel more proud. India’s future is in good hands.”
