The Ajeenkya D Y Patil Group and the associated institutes celebrated Founder’s Day on December 22, 2019, on the occasion of the birthday of chairman, Dr Ajeenkya D Y Patil. Various social initiatives were undertaken by the institutes – Dr D Y Patil School of MBA and School of MCA donated clothes and sweets to old age homes and hosted a “Dr. Ajeenkya D Y Patil Lecture Series”.
Dr D Y Patil School of Architecture distributed clothes and toys to Maher Orphanage. Dr D Y Patil School of Engineering organised a blood donation camp, Techno social activities, inaugurated the “Ajeenkya Competitive Exam Club”. Dr D Y Patil School of Engineering and Technology distributed sweets and stationary to Harantale School in Lohegaon. Dr D Y Patil Dental School organised a free dental and blood check-up. Dr D Y Patil International School arranged the “Joy of Giving” event and supplied groceries in the Alandi area.
A calendar was launched by the university’s vice president Dr. E.B. Khedkar and vice-chancellor Dr Edmond Maher for the year 2020 with the theme “Global Diversity”. The event was graced by the presence of several dignitaries – Prof P V Bhagwat, (trustee), Sr. Sushant Patil (advisor, DYPTC), Prof. Shubhda Chapekar (principal, DYPSOA), Dr Anand Shigli (dean, DYPDS), Mrs Surabhi Deshpande (principal, DYPIS), and Dr Ashok Kasnale (principal, DYPSOET). The vote of thanks was given by Dr M Z Shaikh (principal, DYPSOE).
