Al-Hira Model School is a coeducational day school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. Al-Hira Model School is a unit of the Anjuman-e-Himayath-e-Islam (AHI), which is a 130-year-old society established to maintain institutions for charitable and educational purposes and to promote activities of cultural, economic and social nature. The society has a governing body which is currently headed by the president, Dr. Padmashree Mecca Rafeeque Ahmed, the honorary secretary Azeez Akhtar and honorary treasurer GSK Masud.
The school is managed by a committee lead by Imthiaz Pasha, the vice president of AHI in the additional capacity of chairman. He is assisted by the co-chairman, Adnan Ahmed and convenor BN Khaiser.
The need to provide quality education at an affordable cost fuelled the birth of Al- Hira Model School with about 40 students and seven teachers.
The school was affiliated to the CBSE on April 18, 2013 upto class X, the senior secondary section received recognition from CBSE on March 18, 2017. The school also became an accredited centre for National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) in the year 2018.
Al-Hira strives to provide holistic education with special emphasis on social, moral and ethical values which would nurture character-building, tolerance, and cooperation in students and inspires them to strive for excellence in every field.
Al Hira Model School is located in the sprawling campus of AHI, spread over an area of 12.5 acres out of which 1 acre has been allotted for the school premises. There is a huge playground of about 24, 000 sq,ft, with state-of-the-art sport facilities.
The school believes that transfer or acquisition of knowledge is where education begins. According to the school, its management incorporates the four Cs of education – Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration and Communication in daily lesson plans.
The school also lays special emphasis on foundational literacy and numeracy for KG to standard V and ensure that every child experiences the joy of learning.
For higher grades, the institution puts more focus on learner-centric modules and participative methods of learning. Teaching here is a blend of lecture mode, demonstration, use of smart boards, experiential, case-based and highly interactive sessions.

Students who have completed three years and 6 months as on 1st June of the respective Academic Year are eligible to be admitted to junior kindergarten. Parents have to submit an application for admission.
For classes, KG to Std VIII admissions are only based on vacancies that may arise if any student transfers. Parents who seek admission in these classes are required to register the student’s name and contact number with the school. In case of a vacancy arising, parents will be intimated of the same.
For standard XI, admission is based completely on merit. The scores obtained by the student in standard X pre-boards/board exams will be considered for the same.
