American Honors launches pathway to Ivy League for Indian students

June 17, 2015

On June 10, American Honors launched a 2+2 pathway programme in India to help aspiring students from India enter community colleges with a pathway to leading US universities.
American Honors is a 2+2 year pathway programme to top US colleges and universities offered by Quad Learning and leading community colleges. It is a 2-year selective honors programme at public funded US community colleges and is designed to affordably serve students of high motivation and ability. After adjusting to the US and receiving a strong educational foundation in their first two years, students then transfer to one of the top colleges/universities in the US for their final two years of the degree programme.

Comments Dr. David Finegold, chief academic officer of American Honors, “It is a pleasure for us to enter the Indian education market and help students seeking a top American undergraduate degree with our holistic support services. With rapidly growing demand for graduates, it is important to produce students who have had a high quality education in fast emerging areas. However, many students miss out on the opportunity as they are unable to get into top US universities on their own and/or lack the financial resources to attend. We offer a new programme that provides a better and more affordable path to help each student find and succeed at the best fit college for them.”

The American Honors Programme has presence across the US – from the ever vibrant New Jersey, to sublime Texas to relaxed nature-inspired Seattle, among others. The American Honors programme provides 360 degree support and one-on-one counselling sessions for prospective students – this begins from enrolment through transfer, personalised guidance on everything from the degree plan and course selection to choice of school, financial aid, and scholarships.

Small and interactive seminar-style classes help students understand the engaging honors curriculum in an environment that makes it far easier to connect with professors and peers than traditional large lectures. Each honors class is capped at a maximum of 25 students, with many even smaller, and with no more than a few hundred honors students at each campus one can really get to know fellow students from the US and around the world.

There is also a large transfer network of more than 50 top college and university partners, and including more than 25 that offer assured admission pathways after first two years.  American Honors students have already transferred successfully to Stanford, the Ivy League and many other leading research universities in the US and received generous scholarship support.
