According to an official release on April 25, American Express India has presented a grant of USD 99,000 (approximately INR 65 lakh) to American India Foundation – a non-profit dedicated to catalysing social and economic change in India and building a lasting bridge between the United States and India – as a part of their initiative to promote literacy by enabling quality education in under-served schools across Delhi NCR and Rajasthan.
American Express reiterated its commitment to promoting literacy in India through a grant that will provide technology-enabled quality education to students in underserved schools. The grant will support the “Digital equaliser” initiative by the American India Foundation. The grant was made in the presence of Kenneth I. Juster, U.S. Ambassador to India at a reception hosted by USISPF (US India Strategic Partnership Forum).
