The 21st Convocation of Amity University commenced at the Noida campus on 6 December 2025, beginning a four-day ceremony during which more than 28,000 graduands from disciplines including engineering, management, law, humanities, biosciences, health sciences, journalism, agriculture, hospitality and environmental sciences will receive undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, PhDs, diplomas, medals and certificates. Around 9,000 students received their degrees and diplomas on the first day.
Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal attended as Chief Guest. Addressing the graduands, he acknowledged the contribution of faculty members, highlighted the range of academic opportunities at Amity, and encouraged students to contribute to public life. He reiterated the Prime Minister’s five guiding principles, calling for collective efforts to make India a developed nation by 2047.
Founder President of the Amity Education Group, Dr Ashok K. Chauhan, said the institution aims to ensure student success by providing education along with values. Chancellor Dr Atul Chauhan noted that convocation marks the culmination of each student’s academic journey and the beginning of new opportunities.
Honorary doctorates were conferred upon Padma Shri Dr Ashutosh Sharma of IIT Kanpur, Dr Lalit Verma of Centre for Sight, New Delhi, and Ms Pia Singh of DLF Limited. All three expressed gratitude and reflected on the role of education, science and commitment in professional growth.
Vice-Chancellor Dr Balvinder Shukla highlighted the university’s research achievements, including an H-Index of 184, more than 500 government-funded research projects, 2,646 patents filed, and 35 technologies transferred to industry.
The “Award for Entrepreneurial Ability” was presented to MBA student Amitesh Tripathi. Across the convocation, the university will present 192 Shri Baljit Shastri Awards, 55 Best All Rounder Achievement Trophies, 18 corporate awards and 657 medals.
