Rotary International District 3012 hosted the District Interaction Leadership Assembly “Yuva Virajya-DILA 2024” at Amity University, with over 700 students from 40 Delhi NCR schools in attendance.
District Governor Rotarian Mr. Prashant Raj Sharma addressed the students, praising them as the “shining suns” of society and emphasizing their role in creating a fair and prosperous future. He encouraged them to help others, set goals, and work diligently to achieve them, also highlighting Rotary International District 3012’s initiatives like the “Go Sharpener App,” “Magic of Rotary,” and “Anganwadi Programs.”
Rotarian Mr. Ajay Chauhan, Chair of the District Interaction Leadership Assembly, welcomed the guests, emphasizing Rotary’s commitment to nurturing future leaders. He noted that despite possessing skills and education, success often requires proper guidance. The assembly aims to provide students with leadership opportunities, expand their international perspectives, and inspire them through renowned speakers.
Cybersecurity expert Mr. Rakshit Tandon delivered a special lecture on the importance of digital safety, cautioning students about cyber fraud and the risks of online gaming. He advised them to manage their digital habits carefully, avoid risky games, and be cautious with unknown links and files. Tandon encouraged students to become digital ambassadors, comply with laws, and prioritize sports for a healthy balance.
The event featured vibrant cultural performances by students and included the presence of District Governor (Elect) Rotarian Mrs. Amita Mohindru, DG Nominee Amit Gupta, and District Interaction Chair Rotarian Sachin Vats. Ms. Gauri Pandey was appointed District Interaction Representative for 2024-2025, with students taking on roles such as District Interaction Secretary, District Interaction Joint Secretary, and Zonal Interaction Representative.
