Amity University Uttar Pradesh has entered into an agreement with Wipro Technologies Ltd. to enhance student skills and provide placement opportunities. The collaboration aims to offer a knowledge-intensive training program focused on the IT Services Industry, equipping students and fresh graduates with essential competencies for their professional growth.
Sanjeev Jain, COO of Wipro Technologies Ltd., emphasized the global reputation of Amity University and expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. He highlighted Wipro‘s intent not only to train and place Amity students but also to enroll Wipro employees in Amity’s Higher Education Programs, enhancing their existing skills.
Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor of Amity University Uttar Pradesh, underscored the significance of industry-specific curriculum integration, cybersecurity training by Wipro professionals, and niche area placements facilitated by the MoU. She emphasized the importance of industry-academia collaboration for student skill development and expressed optimism about the mutual benefits of the partnership.
The event also saw the presence of Dr. Sanjeev Bansal, Dean of FMS at Amity University, Mr. Sandesh Kumar, General Manager and Head of Next Gen Talent Hiring at Wipro Technologies, Mr. PVS Prakash, Director of the Talent Skilling Team, Mr. Vivek, Partner in Cybersecurity, and Ms. Vanshika, Talent Champion and Campus Coordinator at Wipro Technologies.
