Anant National University’s School of Architecture in Ahmedabad is set to host the ‘Architecture for All: Call of the Future’ International Symposium from February 23rd to 25th, 2024. This event aims to explore the dynamic evolution of architecture and its implications for the future.
Over centuries, architecture has significantly shaped civilizations, extending its influence beyond the built environment into realms of politics, economics, societal identity, and sustainability. Current circumstances prompt essential questions about the future of architecture. Will it follow predictable patterns or embrace arbitrariness, be dominated by artificial intelligence, or remain contextually conscious? This symposium delves into these inquiries, emphasizing interdisciplinary influences and practices.
The symposium will include academic discussions on themes such as context, identity, inclusion, technology, well-being, politics, society, climate, and ecology, offering a comprehensive perspective on the built environment.
Distinguished speakers, including Madhura Prematilleke of Team Architrave, Colombo, Sri Lanka; Marina Tabassum from Marina Tabassum Architects, Dhaka; and Peter Rich of Peter Rich Architects, Johannesburg, South Africa, will share insights and inspiration throughout the event.
