‘Intern Abroad This Summer’ invites applications for its summer fellowship programme, ‘The Aniket Singh Internship Program’ for the summer of 2019.
The Aniket Singh Internship Program is a 2-3 month internship opportunity designed to enhance awareness and interest in high quality academic research among young Engineering, Management, Science and Humanities students. Students will have the chance to intern at top colleges in England, India (IITs), Singapore and Switzerland. Students chosen for this programme will have the opportunity to work among some of the top professors in academic research in the world.
For each intern, an appropriate stipend will cover the living expenses during the internship. Appropriate travel expenses (train fare for domestic and airfare for international interns) will also be provided.
This global internship opportunity furthers the endeavor that Singh started when he launched the scholarship for underprivileged students at IIT Madras.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates pursuing third year of BE/B. Tech/B.Sc. (Engg)/Integrated ME/M are eligible for the internship. Students in Tech programmes and in their first year of ME/M. Tech/M.Sc./MA, first year MBA students and second year BSc/BCom/BA from colleges across India are strongly encouraged to apply. Special consideration will be given to students from economically underprivileged backgrounds.
Please highlight your academic performance including grade cards or marks sheets from your previous terms, any papers presented at seminars, projects executed, design contests you participated in, your scores/ranks in any competitions and any other awards/distinctions obtained.
Those who qualify as economically disadvantaged students need provide documentation to confirm the same.
There will be an essay section, where students will have the opportunity to further explain why he/she deserves to participate in the programme.
Programme Duration
Duration of the programme is between 2-3 months but differs between different colleges in England, India (IITs), Singapore and Switzerland. In general, the internships will be scheduled between June – August, 2019. Once again, the exact dates of the internships will vary for different colleges. More information will be posted once it is officially announced.
Stipend
The students will be paid a stipend to cover their living expenses (accommodation/food/other day-to-day expenses). Besides, they will also be reimbursed for their travel expenses (train fare for domestic and airfare for international interns).
Some schools will provide on-campus accommodation while others will require students to find their own temporary accommodation for the duration of the programme.

Applications will be accepted starting October 1, 2018. The deadline for submission of applications is January 20, 2019. There is no application fee.
