Arunachal Pradesh education minister Bosiram Siram said the state would soon attain total literacy as the state government had made all-out efforts to improve the educational standards state wide. “The day is not far away when we could let the whole world know that no Arunachalee is deprived of education,” he said, after formally launching the ‘Shiksha Ka Haq Abhiyan’ (SKHA) campaign at Pasighat in East Siang district on November 11, official sources said.
He advised the children to work hard and maintain discipline, good behaviour, and punctuality in order to complete their education in the right perspective. “It is our dream to see that our children acquire values-based education and grow up as responsible citizens of the country to take forward this great nation in spheres of development,” Siram said.
The state government is committed to ensure proper implementation of the RTE Act in the state, he said, adding that the support of the school management committees and performance-related incentives (PRIs, local authority) would play a pivotal role in making the campaign a huge success.
