Arya Vidya Mandir, Bandra West is a co-educational day school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. AVM is a group of non-profit schools located in Mumbai. AVM group of schools are affiliated with CISCE and offer classes from Nursery to class X. AVM, Bandra West is sited on St. Cyril Road and aims to offer holistic education, in line with the AVM philosophy.
Arya Vidya Mandir Santacruz West is the first institution from the Arya Vidya Mandir Group of Schools. It started in 1971 and was followed by the Bandra West Institute. The two schools were later merged and the younger classes are housed in Santacruz while the larger Bandra West premises houses the older classes.
AVM Bandra West offers all the modern amenities such as well equipped science and computer labs, spacious class rooms, well stocked library, and a huge play ground.
Arya Vidya Mandir is affiliated with CISCE and offers classes from Nursery to class X. English, Hindi and Sankrit languages are taught in the school; Sanskrit is compulsory from class V to class VIII.
Extracurricular: AVM encourages students to engage themselves in co-curricular activities such as art, physical education, swimming, public speaking and elocution. Sports such as cricket, football, table-tennis, and basketball are also encouraged.
