AryaGlobal Group efforts towards building an environmentally conscious generation

Save Soil

The AryaGlobal Group of schools has taken up several projects in the month of March to instill environment consciousness among the young such as participating in the Save the Soil movement, Earth Day, Clean Environment campaign.

Participation in Save the Soil Movement

The Save the Soil Movement has brought in a new level of awareness among each one of us regarding the delicate matter of soil conservation.

The Movement, which is a project of the Isha Foundation, founded by Sadhguru brings to light the urgent situation around us. It has been creating awareness about the necessity of soil conservation and the impact it has on everything from climate to vegetation.

To build this initiative, Sadhguru has been traveling around the globe on his bike talking to various associations and spreading awareness.

The impact of this campaign was seen at all AryaGlobal Schools- Arya Gurukul, Ambernath, Nandivali and St. Mary’s High School

Knowing about how the impact of these changes is the first step to course correction.

The students of Arya Gurukul played an active role in furthering the message of the movement. They started by understanding the implications of the project and studying the root cause of matters such as the depletion of our top soil.

They even created posters, wrote and rendered speeches. They wrote letters to our Honourable Prime Minister regarding the views on the matters of concern.

Participation of NCC Cadets

More than 60  NCC Cadets from Maharashtra Air Unit, and Maharashtra Naval Unit from Arya Gurukul, Nandivili, Kalyan and St. Mary’s High  School Chakkinaka, Kalyan took a pledge to keep the environment and neighbourhood clean. Their campaign was on three fronts:-

1) Clean Water bodies

2) Say No to Plastic

3) Save the soil

The NCC Cadets organised a plantation drive on the banks of a water body to save the soil, picked plastic waste to clean the water body and picked up brooms to clean the neighbourhood themselves. They also distributed cotton bags in the Nandivili village.

Slogans to keep the neighbourhood free of plastic waste were chanted.

Special Assembly for Earth Day

This year was the 52nd year of observing Earth Day with the theme- ‘Invest In Our Planet’. Students came up with wonderful thoughts on a few steps that can be taken to protect our planet. A special assembly was observed to celebrate ‘World Earth Day 2022’, the World Earth Day is a reminder to all to protect mother earth so that it continues to provide habitat to our future generations. They made posters carrying important messages, educated themselves and co-students on various aspects. The assembly ended by students declaring a pledge to build a healthier and greener planet for our future generations.
