Azim Premji University, in collaboration with the Bangalore International Centre (BIC), will host the second edition of “Krishna to Kaveri: Celebrating Karnataka’s Cultural Confluences” on November 1–2, 2025, at BIC, Domlur. Timed with Kannada Rajyothsava, the two-day festival celebrates Karnataka’s living cultural heritage nurtured by the rivers Krishna and Kaveri.
The event will be inaugurated by filmmaker Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar and M.C. Ramesh, Chairperson of the Karnataka Shilpa Kala Academy, followed by traditional performances of Pooja Kunitha and Somana Kunitha and a rendition of the Naada Geethe.
The festival features a rich lineup of music, dance, workshops, exhibitions, and storytelling. Highlights include performances by Pt. Vinayak Torvi, Chandana Bala Kalyan, Vasu Dixit, and others; a Bharatanatyam tribute to D.R. Bendre; sessions on yoga, Kannada cinema, and magic; and children’s activities such as storytelling, Chittara art, and interactive shows.
Recognizing Bengaluru’s diverse audience, sessions like Kannada Gottilla (a conversational Kannada workshop) and Sutta Mutta Gotta (a Karnataka quiz) are also planned. Exhibits will include art installations, board games, wildlife photography, and an exhibition on Women Vachana Poets.
The festival aims to connect audiences to Karnataka’s evolving cultural landscape through a blend of tradition, innovation, and community engagement.
