Bengaluru-based Bengali schoolgirl is winning a million hearts for her latest creation – the recently unveiled website https://www.icsetopperslibrary.com designed to ensure better functionality, easy navigation and contains a free library of quality study materials to help the underprivileged meritorious Class 10 students of ICSE board who may not be able to afford private tuitions.
“The internet is a blessing and a great source of knowledge and information. It is important for us to understand, choose and use them to our benefit. As I never attended any tuitions, I was always on the lookout for quality study resources on the internet. After I got over with my ICSE board exams in the year 2019, I decided to compile and catalogue them for others to use,” said Shreya Sen, a student of Clarence High School.
The website has study materials panning Physics, Chemistry and Biology with all the lessons detailed out with thorough explanations and diagrams.
“All these resources which I had found, have been shared to ensure easy accessibility thus saving valuable time which would otherwise be wasted searching for them on the internet. A major portion of our society cannot afford private tuition or avail regular access to the internet or other facilities,” said she.
In a society that is torn apart by the raging pandemic and ever-increasing incidents exuding barbaric ruthlessness, people like Shreya are truly an inspiration from which others can learn and strive to build a safer and better society.
“I topped my school in my Board exams and the study materials, which helped me get there, have been uploaded to the website. Hence, they not only encompass the complete syllabus and but are also reliable and exam-centric. I also keep on updating the website whenever I come across something resourceful,” said the class 12 girl.
Shreya had also given a presentation to all her juniors in her school so that they are aware of the website. The website gets around 500 views per month.
A self-starter, Sen’s first digital footprint is with the website. Unlike, students of her age, she is not available on any social media websites.
“Primarily, the website has been designed by me. I am also learning digital marketing to improve the website, she added.
