Bespoke launches India’s first virtual travel experience for kids

August 21, 2020

Much to the excitement of children and of parents who are running short of ways to keep them engaged during the lockdown, Bespoke Tailormade Experiences has launched India’s first virtual travel experience for kids. Chhavi Chadha, luxury travel curator based in Delhi NCR, and founder, Bespoke, specialises in curating tailormade journeys for her elite clientele. With the pandemic having hit us in March and travel coming to a standstill thereafter, Chadha remodelled her offering and promptly moved the experience online. As her audience, she focused on kids between ages 9 and 18.

The enrolment for the first edition of ‘Summer Adventure 2020’ began in late May, challenging the practicality of travel with the tagline “Who Says You Can’t Travel this Summer?” Here, seven exquisitely journeys were curated to take kids and teens on a trip of their choice—Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Russia, and Japan, and China. Summer Adventure urged its young audience to ‘pack your backs, leave your parents at home, and take off!” Now in its fourth edition, Summer Adventure sells out withing the first two days of the launch of each edition as more and more parents realise the impact that an immersive interactive experience with a native insider can make on young minds. Kids embark on a cultural, historic, and culinary tour of the country of their choice, and an icing on the cake, they also get to learn the language of the country they travel to.

Divided into age groups and small batch sizes for a more personalised experience, Young Travel (ages 9-11) and Teen Travel (ages 12-18) help kids take a break from their online schooling schedule to  deep-dive into major landmarks, rituals, customs, food and etiquettes of the country through eight distinct modules of 1.5 hours each.

“The lockdown has been hard on all of us, especially the kids who are unable to leave the house for months to meet with friends or even play. The aim of this experience is to help kids reconnect with their true nature—an uninhibited energy and adventurous outlook—while meeting with new kids in their age group through these virtual travel experiences,” says Chadha.

Segwaying into Indian travel journeys that aim to have kids connect with their roots, the latest introduction in the series is The Story Behind Indian Festivals that will take them through the stories behind the most popular festivals in the country from July 10, 2020.
