The Ministry of Education, Government of India recognized fifty exceptional teachers from all over the nation with The National Award to Teachers (NAT) in a ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, today. Ms Bhupinder Gogia, Principal, Sat Paul Mittal School, Ludhiana, Punjab was one of the proud recipients of this prestigious accolade. Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu presented Ms. Gogia with the prestigious National Award, comprising a silver medal, an official certificate, and a cash prize of 50,000 rupees. The Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi also had an interactive session with all the National Awardee Teachers and congratulated them for their accomplishment.
The NAT is an acknowledgment of the extraordinary contributions made by some of the nation’s top educators. It celebrates those who, through their unwavering dedication and hard work, have not only elevated the quality of school education, but also enriched their students’ lives.
On achieving the award, Ms Bhupinder Gogia expressed her gratitude by stating, “I feel humbled to receive the prestigious award. I thank Mr Gerry Arathoon, Chief Executive and Secretary of CISCE, for recommending me for the award and Mr Rakesh Bharti Mittal, the Chairman of the Governing Council for giving me an opportunity to be a part of Sat Paul Mittal School and for mentoring me throughout my journey. I owe a great deal to our dedicated staff for cultivating a culture of innovation and learning, and to my family, my true pillars of strength—the wind beneath my wings. Lastly, I extend my gratitude to my ‘Satyans’ for helping me achieve this great milestone”
Ms. Gogia, a distinguished graduate from the University of Hyderabad, embarked on her teaching career in 1991. Recognized for her dynamic vision, reflective approach, and motivational leadership, she has left a significant impact on esteemed educational institutions in Ludhiana. In 2010, she embraced the challenge of serving as the principal at Sat Paul Mittal School, unwaveringly upholding the standards of excellence through her determination and tenacity.
