Overview

Billabong High International School (BHIS), Vadodara is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. Set up in 2006 by Kangaroo Kids Education Ltd (KKEL), the school has 410 students from class I through XII and 21 faculty members.

The school shares a partnership with Billanook College, Australia for sharing of educational resources, student and staff exchange programmes between the two institutions and most importantly, to raise the bar for quality of education.

Campus

The campus hosts air conditioned classrooms, well equipped science labs, computer center, well stocked library, music room, AV room, medical infirmary and canteen.

The campus also houses sprawling lawns, an open play area, open air assembly area and courts for badminton and basket ball.

Academics

Affiliated with CISCE, New Delhi, the school offers education from class I through class XII. According to the school, its teaching methodology is based on the out-of-the-box approach towards learning which boosts imagination in children and inspires them to be thinkers, innovators and problem solvers. The syllabus is designed to allow students to orchestrate experiences that result in a natural and integrated development of knowledge, skills and thinking. Field trips are organised regularly based on the thematic volume being taught in every grade which helps children to take their learning beyond the classroom and observe its application in the real world.

The school ensures that school backpacks are kept light by keeping textbooks, workbooks, craft articles, etc. in class and letting children take home only required worksheets and reference material.

Sports and co curricular activities include speech and drama, swimming, chess, basketball, gymnastics, roller skating, martial arts, cricket, dance, band, jazz and yoga.
