Billabong High International School (BHIS), Bhopal achieved top honours at Confluence 2012, the 13th World Peace and World Unity Festival hosted by City Montessori School (CMS), Lucknow, on November 14.
The event which brought together youngsters from India, Pakistan, Mauritius, Dubai and China was spread across four days and comprised a wide range of competitions including rhythmic taal (dance), page tech (web page designing), magical fingers (painting), bits and bytes (power point presentation), and opera house (dramatics), CMS principal Abha Anant made a special mention of the Billabongers’ competitive spirit and confidences, given that they bested 71 participating teams to come out tops.
Sujata Lakhani, BHIS principal, commended her students on their victory and her team of dedicated teachers. Besides the obvious satisfaction gained from winning, all the participants agreed it was an experience unmatched by any event they had attended to date.
