Founded on July 15, 1941, Birla Balika Vidyapeeth located in Pilani, Rajasthan is an English medium residential public school for girls. The school is a part of the Birla Group and is affiliated with Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. It offers schooling from class IV to XII.
The school focuses on providing a culturally sound and integrated learning environment with modern education methodologies ensuring that students develop as self reliant, disciplined and confident women of tomorrow ready to face the upcoming challenges of life.

The 100-acre Birla Balika Vidyapeeth campus hosts spacious and well lit classrooms and well resourced library with a vast collection of books, magazines, newspapers, CDs and other reference tools. The school also includes an Audio Visual Room with seating capacity of 120. It hosts separate well equipped laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology, home science, needle work and psychology.
There are six different houses for students to indulge in different activities. Other facilities include a common dining hall for both juniors and seniors with a proper balanced diet for the students and a tuck shop stocked with all the required stationery items for the students.
There is a sick room visited daily by a qualified doctor; a well trained and qualified nurse is in charge of the sick room.
The school follows the CBSE curriculum and caters to the educational needs of the following groups:
1. The primary school, which comprises standard IV, offers subjects such as English, Hindi, environmental science, mathematics, computer science, dance, drawing, general knowledge, music, craft and games.
2. The middle school comprises classes V to VII and offers subjects such as English, Hindi, Sanskrit, mathematics, science, social sciences, computer science, French, general knowledge, environmental education, life skill, dance/ drawing/ music/ needle work and games.
3. The Senior School comprises grades VIII to XII. Standard VIII to X students are offered subjects such as English, Hindi/Sanskrit, mathematics, science, social sciences, computer science, dance/drawing/music/ needle work and games. Standard XI and XII are offered three streams – science, commerce and humanities.
Besides academics, the school organises various co curricular activities including cultural activities and competitions. The school promotes National Cadets Corps that organises adventure camps for the students, thus rendering them to adventurous activities such as mountaineering, parasailing, bouldering and rock climbing.
Special career counselling classes provided by professional counsellors are also arranged for the students.
The school also promotes a school music band as part of recreational activities for the students. The band has been a part of RDC Parade in New Delhi since India became a republic in 1950.

The documents required to be produced by parents for admission are:-
Age proofcertificate, present class half yearly report card, two passport size photographs, and duly filled registration form along with medical certificate from an MBBS Doctor.
Following registration, candidates for admission to classes IV to IX are required to appear for a two-hour aptitude test in Hindi, English, Maths and Mental Ability, each of 30 minutes duration.
Candidates for admission to class XI are required to appear for a written test in the following subjects:
a)Engineering stream – maths, physics & chemistry
b) Medical stream – maths, biology, physics & chemistry
c) Commerce stream – English, maths & social studies
d) Humanities – English & social science
Candidates who successfully clear the written test are called for an interaction along with the parents.

The annual school fee, which can be paid in two instalments, is as follows:

The school also promotes a school music band as part of recreational activities for the students. The band has been a part of RDC Parade in New Delhi since India became a republic in 1950.
