What is Accounting and Finance?
Accounting and Finance is the branch of business management dealing with the management of money and recording financial transactions pertaining to a business. It includes within its purview activities such as investing, borrowing/lending, budgeting and the analysis and reporting of a business’s transactions to oversight agencies, regulators and tax collectors. Accounting and Finance may deal with a personal, corporate or public/government business and organization.
Job Description
- Responsibilities include preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (balance sheet reports and sales revenues)
- Managing tax payments and inventory processing
- Preparing budgets and conducting internal audits such as wage review
- Analyzing financial trends and developing forecasts
