What is Architecture?
Architecture is the art and technique of planning, designing and constructing buildings and other structures. In addition to the construction and design of various artificial structures and environments, architecture includes designs and selections of furnishings and decorations, supervising construction work and the restoration of existing constructions. Architecture aims to fulfill utilitarian requirements and technical aspects as well as aesthetic requirements and artistic sensibilities.
Job Description
- Responsibilities of an Architect include preparing drawings, blueprints, specifications and construction documents
- Managing and developing design projects from conception development to completion
- Visiting construction sites to monitor and report on project status
- Researching and compiling reports on feasibility and environmental impact
