What is Counselling & Psychology?
Psychology is the study of the human behaviour and mental processes. It is a multifaceted discipline and includes many sub-fields of study areas such as human development, sports, health, clinical, social behaviour and cognitive processes. Counselling is the practice of consultation, mutual interchange of opinion and deliberating together. It implies the application of the personal resources of the school or other institutions the Counsellor is affiliated with to the solution of the problems that individuals have.
Job Description
- Observe, interview, and survey individuals and conduct scientific studies of behaviour and brain function
- Research and identify psychological, emotional, behavioural or organizational issues and diagnose disorders
- Discuss the treatment of problems with clients
- Write articles, research papers, and reports to share findings and educate others
Eligibility and Courses
Class 12
Any stream (Humanities/Science/Commerce) preferably with psychology as one of the subjects.
