What is Fashion Photography?

Fashion photography is the genre of photography focused on the display of fashion clothing and items. Fashion photography is most commonly conducted for advertisements and fashion magazines such as Vanity Fair, Vogue and Elle. Fashion photography has developed its own aesthetic by featuring models wearing clothes and fashion enhanced by accessories and exotic locations. Fashion photographers not only focus on the aesthetic and technicalities of photography but also adjust the clothing, accessories, hair and makeup of models to prepare the shot in accordance with the location and the target audience.
